FPL Corner: Season 2024/2025 GW 8 Analysis and Captaincy Pick

Hi FPL Lovers, 

 In game week 8, having captain Haaland fails, the team only scored 36 points and experienced a drop in ranking. Only three players managed to contribute without the captain's points. Lewis provided one assist, Mbeumo scored one goal and earned one bonus point, while Palmer assisted once and received two bonus points. Faes remained on the bench but secured a clean sheet.

In the most recent FPL game week just before the extended international break, the team's performance was subpar. While Palmer performed adequately, Saka was exceptional this time around. There is room for improvement in the defense, especially considering that Konsa and Mazraoui have played very little recently (wishing them a speedy recovery). Surprisingly, their respective teams managed to keep a clean sheet. Overall, the team faced some unfortunate circumstances. Below is a snapshot of my team prior to any transfers being made.

I will wait for press conferences before deciding on my defense. I have one transfer available, and I intend to use it. I am satisfied with the midfield, but there may be a change in the forward position in the coming weeks. Haaland will be my captain 😄, with Salah as vice-captain for now. The captaincy can easily switch between them. Let's wait and see.
